Mae Ping NP

Mae Ping NP contains some of the best dipterocarp forest in Thailand. Because of this it is excellent habitat for larger Woodpeckers including Black-headed, White-bellied and Great Slaty. Grey-headed Parakeet, Changeable Hawk-eagle, Burmese Nuthatch and Oriental Scops-owl are another draws here. The park is about 90 minutes drive south of Doi Inthanon and we usually overnight here between more important birding locations which gives us an afternoon and a morning in the park.
