                                  Phuket Island
 
 
 
A birding day trip around Phuket can be very fruitiful. We usually see 50 to 70 species depending on the season. Kingfishers are a highlight with 6 species frequently see, Brown-winged Kingfisher, Ruddy Kingfisher and Mangrove Whistler are also sometimes seen in Phuket Island.

We take you to a variety of habitats including broadleaf evergreen forest, mangrove, mud flats, marshes and lakes. Where we can see Chinese Egret, Common Redshank, Greater and Lesser Sand-Plover.

We recommend Phuket for birders new to South-East Asia or with limited timeframes.
For a chance to see more exotic forest birds such as Hornbills, Pittas and Broadbills we recommend a trip off the island.
